Caran d'Ache needs no introduction. The Geneva-based brand has been a global reference for over a century. Pencils, pens, pastels: everyday objects that travel through generations, sitting on architects' desks, in schoolchildren's pencil cases, in the hands of artists. The challenge wasn't to make the brand known. It was to give it a digital life worthy of what it stands for.
A complete content universe for Caran d'Ache's e-commerce. From concept to shoot, from product page to social media. One single guiding idea: behind every small object lies something great.
The idea of the pencil
A pencil is an ordinary object. And at the same time, it's the first gesture of every great idea. The opening line of a novel, the first stroke of a building, the first sketch of an invention. The editorial strategy starts there: not selling a product, but revealing what it makes possible. Every piece of content is built around that tension between the smallness of the object and the greatness of what it generates. The pencil becomes the quiet hero of stories that go far beyond it.
From concept to shoot
The creative direction follows the same conviction. No spectacular staging, no effect for effect's sake. Sober, precise compositions that let the object breathe. Light reveals the material: wood, brushed metal, graphite lead, pastel pigment. Every product is treated for what it is: a precision object, carefully made, worth looking at closely. The e-commerce shoot combines technical rigour with editorial sensitivity. The visuals work equally well on a product page, an Instagram feed, or a story. One system, every surface.
Results
A coherent content universe, deployed across every digital touchpoint. An editorial strategy that elevates the product without distorting it. E-commerce visuals that sell and inspire. A century-old brand finding its voice in the digital world.
