Nearly 40% of Swiss workers are in a state of critical stress. A figure no one really looks at, because it can't be seen. For the inauguration of Geneva's new economic centre, Swiss Prime Site chose to face the problem head-on. And to respond with an experience, not a campaign.
TWKS designed Shot of Happiness. A 70 sqm screen, placed in the building's lobby, a space everyone passes through. A digital experience that triggers happiness hormones and improves workers' mental health, simply by watching it.
Science meets creativity
The project was born from a collaboration with a neuropsychologist and 3D artists. Not to look good. To work. Movement, shapes, colours, rhythms: every pixel was designed to optimise brain activity and trigger a rush of happiness hormones within seconds. Beauty isn't the goal. It's the by-product.
Towards fulfilment
46 3D scenes, spread across six distinct worlds, form a complete mental journey. Grounding in the underground world. Awareness in the lake world. Awakening in the forest. Ascension in the mountains. Release in the sky. Transcendence in space. Six stages, one direction: fulfilment. Multiple playlists rotate throughout the year, so the effect never fades.
Concrete results
Over 20,000 people interact with Shot of Happiness every day. 73% of them report a positive effect on their mental health. Their stress levels drop by 35% within seconds of watching the animations.
The experience acts as a reservoir of positive energy, a daily moment of respite in a work environment that rarely offers one. It's the first time a leading real estate company has taken concrete action on mental health at work.
What's next
A commitment from Swiss Prime Site to roll out the concept across all its future developments in Switzerland and Europe.
